The 7th Salmon River Snowmobile Club 2016 Snowmobiler’s Ball & Fun Run has been scheduled for February 12th through February 13th

  • Friday, February 12, 2016
    9:00pm – Comedy Show at the Mountain Village Resort Restaurant and Lounge, featuring Marc Price & Kaz Gable. The price for this show is $10.00. You must 21 & over to attend.
  • Saturday, February 13, 2016
    10:00am – Snowmobile “Fun Run” begins at Mountain Village Resort parking lot. Sign up from 10:00am to 12:00noon. Riders will leave from the parking lot and must be back by 3:00pm.
    5:00pm to 9:00pm – “Meet, Greet, & Eat”
    9:00pm – Raffle and free live music by Spike Coggins at the Mountain Village Resort Restaurant and Lounge. Must be 21 & over to attend.

    The $10 Raffle will be for the following prizes: 1st prize: $1,000 cash, 2nd prize: Husqvarna 460 Rancher chain saw, 3rd prize: $100 cash.
    The $1 Raffle will be for prizes of all sorts – what will you win?

2016 STANLEY SLED DOG RENDEZVOUS

DATE: February 27 - 28, 2016

LOCATION: TBA

Stanley is hosting its sixth annual Sled Dog Rendezvous on Saturday, February 27th and Sunday, February 28th.  Check-in for this event begins at 5:00pm on Friday, February 26th, with a Mushers Meeting at 7:00pm at Mountain Village.  On Saturday, race information and check-in are available from7:30am at the Mountain Village Restaurant, with races starting at 8:30am.  This is a two-day event, with mileage split between Saturday and Sunday(8,20,48 total Mileage/4,10,24 miles per heat/per day).  Skijoring will take place over both days.  Junior races will be held on Saturday only.  Come gather around the bonfire and watch these exuberant dogs and trainers under the backdrop of the Sawtooth Mountains.

FOURTEENTH ANNUAL SAWTOOTH SKI FESTIVAL

DATE: March 5 - 6, 2016

LOCATION: Park Creek Ski Area, Alturas Lake Ski Area, Community Building, Stanley, ID

The Sawtooth Ski Club is hosting their traditional cross-country ski event on Saturday, March 5th and Sunday, March 6th.  Park Creek Ski Area kicks off the festivities on Saturday, from 11:00am to 2:00pm.  Poker run participants, skiers and snowshoers follow a fun course, receive poker cards at checkpoints, and return to the beginning where the best poker hand, called at 1:30pm, wins a new pair of snowshoes.  Come enjoy the homemade chili and treats.  Saturday evening from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Stanley Community Building, enjoy the silent auction and more home cooking at the annual Ski Festival dinner, all the while listening to live music.  On Sunday, the final event of this fundraising weekend will take place at the Alturas Lake Ski Trail. Follow the signs from 11:00am to 3:00pm to the Soup Kitchen Social, where hot soups, breads, beverages, and homemade goodies await. Gather your friends and bring a leash for your pooch and your checkbook for this annual Sawtooth Ski Club fundraising weekend.

40th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair

DATE: July 16 - 17, 2016

TIME: Saturday, July 16th, 10:00am to 6:00pm; Sunday, July 17th, 9:00am to 4:00pm

LOCATION: Highway 21, grassy area just west of Mountain Village Mercantile

Come celebrate the 40th Annual Arts and Crafts Fair, sponsored by the Mountain Mamas. This Fair brings in over 100 artists and craftsmen from throughout the Northwest to Stanley, providing a rare opportunity to purchase art and craft directly from the artist.  Join in a day of fun in the sun, with a great selection of food and country music.
