Rock Climbing
Sawtooth Mountain Guides can get you cultured in rock climbing. No experience necessary! And they provide all the equipment to make your experience fun and safe for young kids, teenagers and adults.

Start out at the Redfish Boulder to gain your climbing confidence in this half day trip just a short walk from Redfish Lake Lodge. Easy to very difficult climbs are available from the numerous top rope routes.

The Super Slabs are a full day trip that begins with a ten minute boat trip across Redfish Lake and a two mile hike up Redfish Canyon. This 7 pitch climb on granite rock is the perfect segue to the more advanced climbs in the Sawtooths.

The Elephants Perch is a climber’s dream! The Sawtooth Mountain Guides will show you the way on this advanced climb in the Sawtooth Mountains. The view from the top of Elephants Perch is your incentive to conquer the 8 pitches with up to 5.9 in difficulty. You can do it!

Sign your child up for the Sawtooth Alpine Kids Camp (July 17 – 21). It’s a five-day backcountry adventure for ages 8 – 15 that introduces kids to rock climbing, hiking and camping while educating them in general mountain craft. Your child’s confidence and problem-solving skills will skyrocket in this safe environment with professional mountain guides.

Go ahead, step into a harness and try something new in the Sawtooth Mountains.

Redfish Lake Marina
Redfish Lake is the epitome of summertime fun!

Redfish Lake Marina is open to the public and is your gateway to a wide-range of water sports. Recreate in Redfish Lake with motorized and non-motorized rentals:

  • Play on the water with a stand up paddle board.
  • Glide through the sparkling lake in a kayak or canoe.
  • Pedal from beach to beach in a paddleboat.
  • Cruise the lake in an outboard motorboat or pontoon.

Do you want to learn about the Sockeye Salmon or the area’s ecology and geography? Get on board the Lady of the Lake Tours! Naturalists talk about the area and history while touring Redfish Lake in a pontoon boat. The boat leaves the dock daily at 10am, 1pm and 3:30.

Explore the other side of Redfish Lake by taking the shuttle service to the trailhead of Redfish drainage. From here, hike to Saddleback Lake (Elephants Perch), Alpine Lake, Baron Divide, Cramer Lakes or extend your hike to a multi-day backpacking adventure.

When hunger hits you at high noon, nourish your body with burgers, wraps and sandwiches from the Lakeside Grill. And we all scream for their flavor burst soft-serve ice cream!

Views from the lakefront can keep you beached from sunup to sundown. The family-friendly sandy shores are perfect for building sand castles, basking in the sun, reading a novel or splashing in the shallows of Redfish Lake.

Motorsports
With hundreds of miles of dirt roads, singletrack and doubletrack trails, why go anywhere else? Take a ride in the wilderness to discover new terrain from the seat of an all-terrain vehicle. Young children and teenagers love the pure excitement, power and thrill of an ATV while the adults embrace an activity they all can enjoy as a family.

The Stanley-Sawtooth Chamber of Commerce has your guide of places to go.

Your backcountry adventure begins at Woolley’s Rendezvous. Rent a Honda ATV for a half day or full day and get away from the crowds. Their fleet of ATV’s is safe and easy to operate. The 2 or 4 Seat Pioneer is ideal for your friends and family to ride along with you. If you’re looking for a solo ride, the Honda Recon is the way to go.

After your ride, be sure to stop into Bridge Street Grill. Owner and a Stanley legend, Brett Woolley, always has an entertaining story to tell while you feast on Mammoth burgers, steaks, ribs, Buffalo wings or seafood.

Motorsports connects a family to nature and one another.
