McCoy’s Fishing Report for May 23, 2017
Spring has arrived with blue skies and lot’s of wildflowers and summer is on it’s way. Today’s high temperature so far is 74 degrees F. And of course for those of us that like to fish it means the best time of the year is upon us.
For Memorial Day Weekend 2017
For Memorial Weekend Idaho Fish and Game is stocking Stanley Lake and the Dredge Ponds with catchable Rainbow Trout. Of course Stanley Lake also has a resident population of Lake Trout, some of considerable size, in addition to the holdover rainbows already in the lake. Alturas Lake also has resident populations of fish, in addition to the holdover rainbows. At this time the Upper Salmon River and Valley Creek are running high and will be stocked as flows go down in June. McCoy’s Tackle Shop will be open 7 days a week beginning Friday, May 26th. Until mid-June hours will be from 9:00am to 6:00 pm and thereafter we will be open from 8:00am to 7:00pm. Stop in and see what is new, in addition to the tried and true gear.
