Chinook Salmon are in the Upper Salmon River
The Chinook Salmon are in the Upper Salmon River. Over 200 Chinook Salmon have arrived at the Sawtooth Hatchery above Stanley in the last few days. Season is open from the mouth of Valley Creek to approximately 100 yards below the weir at the hatchery. Now is the time to fish for these great fish.
Also, Alturas, Perkins, and Stanley Lakes, the dredge ponds and the kids pond at the hatchery have been stocked with catchable rainbows.
