7th Annual Redfish Lake Lodge Memorial Run, Saturday, May 27
Do what you love in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains….Run! Celebrate the kick off of Redfish Lake Lodge’s season by running a half marathon, 10k or 5k. Enter in one of the most picturesque and memorable running events in the Northwest. Redfish Lake, Sawtooth Mountains, natural beauty and your chance to become part of the Bluefish Club...what more could you want?

Here is a rundown of the events:

Friday, May 26
6:00 – 8:00pm Pre-race meal (cost $12) and live music

Saturday, May 27
9:30am Kid’s 1 Mile Run Race (ages 3 – 10)
10am Half Marathon
10:30am 10K
10:45am 5K
High Noon Bluefish Club – meet on the docks to take a refreshing plunge into Redfish Lake

All races will begin and end at the lodge. For details on cost, registration and course map, please visit  Redfish Lake Lodge . The courses for the half marathon and 10K may need to be altered because of snow.

Last year 454 runners participated and they are pacing to have even more this year. The funds help pay for the staff of the Sawtooth Interpretive & Historical Association ( SIHA ) at the Visitors Center at Redfish Lake.

Don’t you love a deal? Book a two night stay at Redfish Lake Lodge and get the third night at half price. Visit the Stanley-Sawtooth Chamber of Commerce for additional lodging in the area.

Looking for something to do while in the area during Memorial Day weekend? Volunteers are needed to help this event run smoothly. Contact Jeff Clegg at jeff@redfishlake.com to be a part of the volunteer effort for both on and off the course.

Sawtooth Relay
Saturday, June 10
The Sawtooth Relay has over 235 registered 6-person teams racing in 12 legs totaling 61.9 miles of stunning scenery…..it’s a runners/walkers paradise! Participants will begin between midnight and 9am at the Stanley Elementary School and finish at Atkinson Park in Ketchum between noon and 5pm.

Although registration is closed, you can still support the Sawtooth Relay.

  • Make some noise on Highway 75! Clap your hands, stomp your feet and shout out words of encouragement as they pass by. Your positive energy will help strengthen and spur them forward.
  • Sawtooth Relay is a fund raising event for pilot research projects at the Kidney Institute at the University of Kansas Medical Center to find treatments and a cure for polycystic kidney disease. Find out how you can make a difference .

10th Annual A.J. Silva Cup Kite Flying Festival
Sunday, June 18 at 11am
Stanley Pioneer Park
Bring your handmade or store-bought kite, your friends and family, your appetite and your laughter! Be a part of this high-flying action on Father’s Day for your chance to win prizes including the coveted A.J. Silva Cup. All ages and skill levels are welcome (and encouraged!) to participate. There is no cost to enter the festival. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and assorted beverages will be available for a donation. Come fly a kite and fill the Stanley sky with dazzling colors and shapes.
