The Ninth Annual Stanley Winterfest is all about getting outside, celebrating winter and having fun at the ridiculously amazing events. The Winterfest has a dizzying amount of things to do to keep revelers entertained all weekend long. Did we mention that all events are FREE?

Saturday

Howlin’ Wolf Raft Ride (10am – 3pm)

If you thought you couldn't raft in the winter, you haven't been to Stanley Winterfest! Don’t just imagine the thrill of sliding down a hill in an inflatable raft…..experience it!

40k Fat Bike Fondo (10am)

A fat bike, a fun attitude and determination are all you’ll need to compete in the 40k Fat Bike Fondo . These go-anywhere cycling toys are the ideal way to tour the impressive Sawtooth scenery. The course is designed to take you through varied terrain that can be physically challenging, but totally doable. Don’t forget to wear your helmet!

Ace of Diamonds Boulevard Races

The Winterfest tradition continues as locals and visitors compete for honor and glory in three of the most hilarious races on Ace of Diamonds Boulevard.

Wild-n-Woolley Drag Race (2pm)

We invite all men to put on your purdiest dress and grace the boulevard with your presence. And, ladies, dress like a man and strut your stuff. Competitors will run with their dresses flaring, wigs flapping and staches flying across the finish line. Pure entertainment at its best!

Outhouse Race (3pm)

Construct a creative and, hopefully, aerodynamic outhouse and race it at Winterfest. The rules  are easy and registration is free. Compete for 1st, 2nd and Turd place trophies. The winners will be remembered for their speed and creativity, but the real winners are everyone who gets to witness this event.

Three-Legged Race (3:30pm)

Strap the left leg of one runner to the right leg of another runner and run full-speed while wearing snowshoes. What could possibly go wrong?

Bridge Street Chicken Sh!t Bingo (6pm)

A live chicken sh!ting on a master Bingo card. Can you guess how this game is played? Brett Woolley, owner of Bridge Street Grill , is hosting this event so it’s guaranteed to be non-stop laughter.

All Day Activities

Your kids will have fun too! The Kid’s Play Area will be located at the corner of Wall Street and Ace of Diamonds Boulevard.

Pick-up hockey games and/or free skate at the Stanley Ice Rink. If you forget your skates or stick, we've got you covered! You’ll find all you will need in the rinkside shed.

Sunday

Snowmobile Skijoring (10am at the Mountain Village Resort)

While hanging on for dear life to a rope attached to a snowmobile, the skier gets pulled around a course (gracefully, of course!) while collecting rings. Bring your own skis or snowboard. This is a family-friendly event so anyone can do it!
