4th of July in Stanley, Idaho

event

It’s a big deal to turn 241 years old! Celebrate the nation’s birthday on the 4th of July in Stanley.

Kick off Independence Day in the Sawtooth Valley:

  • Hike to 4th of July Lake or any lake.
  • Go white water rafting on the Upper Main Salmon River. As you’re rafting through The Narrows, sing at the top of your lungs ‘God Bless America’ or any patriotic song.
  • Decorate your bike and helmet with streamers, flags, balloons and bows and ride it in the parade.

You get the idea…..just get outside and have fun!

Wear your craziest red, white and blue outfit and show it off at the Stanley Parade. The procession starts winding its way through the streets at 5:30pm. No doubt, there’s going to be fire trucks, construction trucks, classic vehicles, dirt bikes, bicyclists and walkers.

And the Cow Car will be there too!

Don’t just spectate….participate in the parade! It’ll give you something to brag about back home. Contact the Stanley-Sawtooth Chamber of Commerce for details.

Free Peoples, one of the hottest jam bands in San Francisco, will bring their high energy to the Street Dance on Ace of Diamonds Boulevard at 6pm. Kick up your heels while listening to the rhythms of blue grass, jazz and rock.

Step into the  Kasino Club  for dinner and stay for the late night entertainment with George Devore from Kansas City.

Fireworks will begin lighting up the dark sky at dusk.

Stanley may be a small mountain town, but they sure can bring it on Independence Day with activities, parade, music and fireworks. We would love to see you there so start planning!

Salute the United States of America and honor its history in Stanley!
